{"id":675,"date":"2013-01-03T17:03:27","date_gmt":"2013-01-03T17:03:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rallyraidcanada.com\/?p=675"},"modified":"2013-01-03T17:03:27","modified_gmt":"2013-01-03T17:03:27","slug":"the-softest-sand-in-the-world-and-into-scrutineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rallyraidcanada.com\/?p=675","title":{"rendered":"The Softest Sand in the World and Into Scrutineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don and Simon along with Evan, their mechanic\u00a0 went into the desert yesterday morning to do some\u00a0 suspension tuning on the bikes.\u00a0 The sand was softer than any Don has ever ridden.\u00a0 Both Simon and Don agree &#8211; its even softer than Dubai!\u00a0\u00a0 He purposely tried to ride the worst of it &#8230;..subsequently ate a lot of sand and picked his bike up more times than he can count.\u00a0 It was pretty hot and dusty but a good day.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is &#8211; the bike is amazing and Simon has done an excellent job setting it up.\u00a0 &#8220;Simon really knows what he is doing and has thought of everything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Last evening the team got together with staff from the Canadian Embassy in Peru for dinner.\u00a0 &#8220;Lovely people, really doing a great\u00a0 job for our country,&#8221; says Don.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the staff are going to follow the rally for a few days when it starts.\u00a0 They are really excited to watch their Canadians in action.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, Don is in scrutineering!\u00a0\u00a0 Lets all cross our fingers that all i&#8217;s are dotted and t&#8217;s crossed on\u00a0 the paperwork and the bike, equipment and Don all pass with flying colors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don and Simon along with Evan, their mechanic went into the desert yesterday morning to do some suspension tuning on the bikes.
